Iyengar Yoga is a style developed by B.K.S. Iyengar, which is available to all ages and bodies through the use of props such as blocks, blankets, belts and more. Iyengar yoga is taught systematically with attention to detail. From the very first class, basic techniques with individualized attention help the participant enjoy freedom in the poses and learn to practice safely. Iyengar yoga helps eliminate aches and pains and improve posture so one may experience the many benefits both on the body and the mind.


Jerri Crowley began practicing yoga over 20 years ago and has been teaching since 1998. She founded the Iyengar yoga program in San Angelo at Community Health Club and is a devoted yoga practitioner and teacher. Jerri's teaching style is dynamic and precise with a blend of compassion and humor. She studies regularly with Patricia Walden, Randy Just and other senior teachers. Jerri is also a Doctor of Optometry and practices at SAMS.

Cost is $25 per student

Yoga Tune Up® is a therapeutic yoga-inspired class that eases pain, improves posture and enhances performance using a unique blend of yoga, corrective exercise, self-massage (self-myofascial release/SMR) and other techniques for physiological down regulation. It is a challenging yet accessible practice.

YTU benefits all movement practices you do—yoga, running, crossfit and especially, the movements of your daily life. It is a self-care practice that offers easy tools that bringing calm to your life and balance your mind. 

Here we will incorporate awareness and self-study; an understanding of human movement; a fascination for fascia; a commitment to self-care; and a mindset that encompasses holistic well being.
